Ma maison c'est ta maison.
Ma maison c'est ta maison. Every time I am in New York I visit the Margiela store. I have not bought anything (so far, although I have been willing to, but I am unwilling and unable at this period of my life), but my company has (I am not an one of those people!).
Anyways, in the near future I may be able to forgo my pilgrimage to the Maison, because the Maison is in the home! (This is a low point in my blog, but I really do want to be a catchy writer--I might have to edit this later, when I can think clearly!)
Last spring MMM announced its foray into the world of furniture and design. Here are some of the results via slamxhype.
P.S. Maison is in the home... not so bad if you consider From Bauhaus to our house. Word!

New York
I spent the most beautiful day of the past few months in New York. The Margiela sale was a disaster for lack of sizes and the prices were too high on what fit me (I am lamenting not being in NY today when the prices were almost 90%... though I am so over it!).
We visited the Highline, and that made the whole trip worthwhile. D + S are incredible -- The idea of the park was an incredibly innovative way to utilize the remnants of the railway. The design at certain points mimicks the natural decline by the asymmetrical and sometimes sudden sprouts of flora. The benches and seating areas, the theater facing the streets... it is such an incredible space to be in.
Back in rainy Boston, Margiela-less, I would rather be wearing these...possibly all at the same time:

via eastern lookSince we are on the subject of cities, did you know that the capital of Vermont is Montpelier pronounced /mɒntˈpiːliər/ (thanks wikipedia!)? I almost burst laughing at the pronunciation by one of my prof who has a Boston - Upper West Side hybrid accent. Can an l make that much of a difference America?...and England?....and Ireland?
