Halloween!

This is the first time I am celebrating Halloween. Seriously! There is nothing spookier than Property Law on a Saturday night (Probably property law on Friday night is indeed scary!)
This is the nerdiest post ever, I might delete it later..... From the Criterion Collection

Ay!

Alex Wang is one of my favorite designers for everyday, basic looks. He is the master of the certain contemporary upper middle class non-chalance. And I love him for it!
I just found out that he is including stripes in the T line, and I am sooo excited. I am even amending my fall wishlist to an actual shopping list. I want this lovely:

@ Satine

and this lovely (but i am not as firm on this one):

Rogan @ LaGarconne

And this is it! Why, Merci Mr. Wang!

Stripes!

Speaking of stripes --I am always speaking of stripes, and when I am not speaking of stripes, I am thinking of stripes, and when I am not thinking of stripes, I am wearing stripes-- I found these ads by the French stripe master Gaultier very quirky. The models have a very Joe Dallesandro look and attitude. I loved Dallessandro in my Rimbaud-reading mega nerd early high school days.

I also wore stripes today. It was very exciting. I looked and felt great! I wore them with Hunter boots and while walking on the leaf covered Boston streets I whispered Gainsbourg songs. Some things never change!

Masks!

It is my dream to have a leather doctor's mask. I looked for one while in Venice, but nothing. I came back with a baby pig and an ant! Some of the loveliest masks I have seen are from Kiki de Montparnasse. I also love this one from Coco de Mer...

Bunkeret!

A cool project about the bunkers in Albania.

Fall in Boston pt. 2

well it is more like winter in Boston at this point. Unfortunately, not all my autumnal dreams were realized so here is an amended list and more....hmm... reasonable list. (It actually is. No kidding!)

Kain Label @ revolve

only the skirt, Vanessa Bruno @ LaGarconne

Danskin skating tights (..brrrr) @ some shady skating store

Danskin supplex tights (again brrrr) @ amazon

Alex Wang @ Standard Deviation. So soft and an interesting cut for a basic too. This is a summer in Boston item too. When it is snowing outside it is about 80 degrees Farenheit in the classroom so this is a double season kind of item.

Lurex cardi @ Diani. So lovely. Not cashmere by far, but it will probably last longer, no? (I know it is a bit passe but I love RO. Margiela when things get serious, but RO for all other times. Word.)

Lovely and sort of boring (see RO and MM reference above) @ LaGarconne

Aye sailor! I love the stripes. My dream is a much cheaper tenyashka, but I have not been able to find one in my size. (Kind of difficult since they are made for the Russian navy.)

modern church

Boston college is known for its gothic collegiate buildings, so it was a great surprise when I came upon the law campus church.

The Farnese Collection

As I have dedicated so many posts to L'Ercole Farnese, I am excited to share more photographs of the collection. Though, none of our Hercules... Link here. Text in Italian.
